Product Warranty
The limited warranty set forth below is provided by International Sports Timing, a division of Industrial Service Technology, Inc. (“Company”), for the following products: non-video SCOREBOARD, Computer Timing Interface (included with SWIMWARE, TIMEWARE, or MEETWARE Software), POLOWARE Interface (included with POLOWARE Software), SWIMCLOCK, SWIMCOUNT, SHOTCLOCK, SWIMSTART, and SWIMSTART Remote Start products (“Products”).
Note: Video scoreboards, cables, in-deck wiring, and all related deck plates, wall plates, and wiring are not included in this warranty.
Products delivered in new condition, in their original containers, are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship as follows:
Five (5) years from date of original purchase: defective Products returned to the Company and proven defective upon inspection will be repaired or exchanged for new or comparable rebuilt Products, at the Company’s discretion.
Twelve (12) Volt Batteries used in some Products are warranted for two (2) years from purchase. If defective within this period, they will be replaced at no charge. During years 3–5, defective batteries may be replaced at a cost set by the Company.
Warranty Coverage Exclusions
This warranty covers all defects in normal use but does not apply in cases of:
1. Loss or damage due to abuse, mishandling, improper packaging, alteration, accident, electrical fluctuations, failure to follow instructions, or service by anyone other than the Company.
2. Use of non-Company parts or supplies causing damage or frequent service problems.
3. Products with altered or removed serial numbers/dating.
The Company provides no express, implied, or statutory warranties (including merchantability or fitness for purpose). No prior dealings or trade usage create additional warranties.
The buyer’s sole remedies are limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the purchase price, at the Company’s option. The Company is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Claims must be made in writing within 90 days of discovery, and no later than 12 months after discovery. The warranty applies only to the original buyer, not subsequent customers or users. Warranty is void in cases of alteration, misuse, neglect, or improper application/installation.
Warranty Service
To obtain service, call 800-835-2611 (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM ET, excluding holidays). A technician will attempt to resolve the issue by phone. If not possible, you will be issued a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and instructions. You may be directed to return only specific components. Customers are responsible for packaging and shipping costs. Covered products will be repaired or replaced at no charge; repairs outside warranty will be billed at the Company’s current rates.
Exchange Service
Exchange Service provides a faster replacement by sending a refurbished Product (when available). The refurbished unit carries the balance of the original warranty.
Important: The replacement Product becomes your property, and the non-working Product becomes the Company’s property.
If Exchange Service is chosen and a refurbished unit is available, you will receive an RMA Exchange Number. The non-working Product (or specified components) must be shipped to the Company, properly packaged, with an explanation of the issue. Replacement units are shipped free of charge.
You will be billed up to the cost of a new Product if:
1. You fail to return the non-working unit within 30 days of receiving the RMA Exchange Number.
2. The returned unit’s defects are not covered by warranty.
3. The warranty has expired or cannot be verified by the serial number.
